City of Port Hueneme Appoints Aleshire & Wynder Partners Paul Early & Darren Ziegler as Legal Counsel

December 16, 2025 - Aleshire & Wynder Partner Paul Early was appointed as City Attorney of City of Port Hueneme in a unanimous vote by the City Council on December 15, 2025. Serving alongisde him as Assistant City Attorney will be A&W Partner Darren Ziegler.

"I can't say how honored I am to serve the City of Port Hueneme," Paul Early said.

Paul has over 25 years of experience directly advising City Councils, Planning Commissions, and other public agency bodies on a variety of legal matters including land use, public contracting, water rights, electric and water utilities, conflicts of interest and Brown Act matters.

Darren also has a wide range of expertise, from special tax districts, code enforcement, advising city advisory boards, and much more, having previously served as the Deputy County Counsel for the Riverside County Office of County Counsel and the Deputy City Attorney for the Moreno Valley Office of the City Attorney.
