Kyla Garcia is an associate attorney in the Fresno office. Kyla graduated from Southwestern Law School, where she served as an advocate for minor clients and their families at Southwestern Law School's Children's Rights Clinic. She also served as an advocate for undocumented immigrants at Southwestern Law School's Immigration Clinic.
Prior to joining the firm, Kyla represented school districts, joint powers authorities, public entities, and employers in areas of insurance defense, school defense, employment and wrongful termination defense, and public entity defense. Kyla defended insurers, government entities, and school districts in a variety of subrogation, premises liability, sexual abuse, and negligence cases.
Kyla also served as an advocate for the Fresno District Attorney's Office, H.E.A.T. Task Force, and the Fresno City Attorney's Office, Code Enforcement, where she assisted in the development of the City of Fresno’s Eviction Protection Program (EPP). Kyla builds on her legal experience to effectively represent and achieve favorable results for her city and public-entity clients.
