September 12, 2012 -- The City Council for the City of Fillmore has approved a contract with Aleshire & Wynder, LLP pursuant to which partner Tiffany Israel will serve as the new City Attorney for Fillmore. The City Attorney acts as general counsel in the operation of city government. Lindsay Tabaian has been designated to serve as the Assistant City Attorney.
July 6, 2012 -- Three partners at Aleshire & Wynder, LLP were awarded honors in 2012.
Partner David Aleshire was named a Southern California Super Lawyer 2012, the fourth year in a row that he has received this distinction. Dave Aleshire received this honor in three areas of law: Government/Cities/Municipalities, Land Use & Zoning Law, and Environmental Law.
February 15, 2012 -- June Ailin, an Equity Partner at Aleshire & Wynder, will be speaking on a panel presentation entitled "Redevelopment: Past, Present and . . . Future?" on March 9, 2012 at 12:00 noon. The presentation will be held at the Los Angeles County Bar Association Conference Center, 1055 West Seventh Street, Suite 2700 Los Angeles, CA.

August 1, 2011 -- Partner Anthony Taylor was named one of the top-rated attorneys in Orange County by OC Metro Magazine, August 2011. This annual list of the region’s top attorneys is compiled by AVVO, which uses a mathematical model including criteria such as years of experience, education, achievement, and industry recognition.
June 30, 2011 -- As part of Aleshire & Wynder's representation of the Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG), with partner Fred Galante serving as General Counsel, we assisted in the preparation of a local plan responding to the state's effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The plan, representing a countywide strategy, is known as the Orange County Sustainable Communities Strategy (OC SCS). It was approved by both the OCCOG and the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) boards of directors in June, 2011.
April 22, 2011 -- Aleshire & Wynder’s Rent Control and Mobilehome Park Law Team (including Partners Bill Wynder, Sunny Soltani, and Associate Jeff Malawy) were invited to prepare a paper for presentation at the 2011 City Attorneys’ Spring Conference, to be held May 4 - 6 at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite.
March 1, 2011 -- The law firm of Aleshire & Wynder provided generous support in 2010 that enabled the Institute for Local Government to develop this resource and make it available to local officials.

February 10, 2011 -- Partner Sunny Soltani of Aleshire & Wynder will serve on the faculty of a Lorman seminar, "Litigation Skills for Legal Professionals in California." Ms. Soltani, along with two other speakers, will discuss critical functions related to maintenance and organization of civil litigation cases, especially relating to discovery issues and successful trials.
July 15, 2010 -- Aleshire & Wynder is pleased to announce that Partner Anthony Taylor was named a 2010 "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, making it his fifth consecutive year for receiving this distinction.
Super Lawyers magazine names attorneys in each state who received the highest point totals, as chosen by their peers and through the independent research. Rising Stars names the state's top attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the list.
