August 31, 2016 -- Colin Tanner is a scheduled speaker at the National Public Employer Labor Relations Board (NPELRA) Labor Relations Academy I: “The Foundation of Labor Relations.”
This training session will give participants resources to achieve a better understanding of the basic principles and practices of labor relations. They will be given tools to assist them in preparing and organizing for bargaining, as well as enforcing and administering the collective bargaining agreement. Various approaches to bargaining will be compared.
Mr. Tanner will speak on, “Preparing and Organizing for Bargaining” from 11:00 a.m. to noon. From 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. he will speak on, “The Labor Contract.”
This NPELRA Academy will take place in San Diego at the Handlery Hotel, 950 Hotel Circle North on September 27 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Colin Tanner is a founding partner of the law firm of Aleshire & Wynder, chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice Group, chair of the firm's Personnel Committee, and co-chair of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. In these capacities, Mr. Tanner advises clients regarding their labor and employment practices as well as defends and/or prosecutes litigation claims on their behalf. He also practices in the areas of preventive liability, insurance coverage, and business litigation for the firm’s public and private sector clients.
