August 28, 2017 -- Chris Neumeyer and Christine Carson will speak, on “Not Everybody Must Get Stoned: Managing the Legally Savvy Marijuana User,” at the Public Employment Labor Relations Association of California (PELRAC) conference in Santa Barbara on October 4, 2017 and at the California Public Employers Labor Relations Association (CALPELRA) annual conference in Monterey on December 7, 2017. They will discuss the impact of Proposition 64 and marijuana laws on drug testing, discipline, reasonable accommodations, and privacy.
The recent passage of Proposition 64, which legalizes recreational use of marijuana in California, has created concern over how the new law will impact the workplace. With both commercial marijuana operations on the horizon and individual marijuana use now legal in California, employers have many questions. Using real world examples, the presenters will answer the most common questions.
Neumeyer and Carson are scheduled to speak at 2:45 on October 4, 2017, and 3:30 on December 7, 2017.
