On March 1, 2017, Shannon Chaffin will be one of three speakers for an Advanced CEQA Workshop presented by the Association of Environmental Professionals (“AEP”) in Fresno.
The workshop includes important cases over the past year addressing subsequent environmental review, energy impacts, effects of the environment on projects, historic resources, validity of general plan standards as CEQA thresholds, recirculation of Draft EIRs, and many other issues. The workshop will also look at CEQA streamlining provisions and how to efficiently navigate to the next level of environmental review for program and master EIRs, including examining infill development, residential projects subject to specific plans, sustainable community strategies, and more. Finally, the workshop will include guidance regarding preparation of adequate energy analysis from case law and what is needed in an ideal energy impact analysis.
This Advanced CEQA workshop will take place in Fresno at the Wedgewood Wedding & Banquet Center at 4584 W. Jacquelyn Avenue on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The workshop is approved each year for AICP and MCLE credits.
Shannon Chaffin is a partner at Aleshire & Wynder and advises the firm’s clients on municipal government, including land use, environmental, municipal law and CEQA litigation. He has previously been a presenter at AEP’s CEQA workshops in 2015 and 2016.
