Michelle Hernandez
Associate
Michelle Hernandez is an Associate Attorney practicing primarily in commercial transactions at the firm’s Oakland office. She has extensive experience working on contracts and guiding nonprofit organizations that often partner with public entities. Her expertise in commercial transactions supports our clients with their day-to-day operations. She also has experience with utilities, including water, and telecommunications.
Michelle graduated from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) with a CALI award in International Trade Law and Policy and recognition for outstanding achievement in Pro Bono work. She has broad experience in both the public and private sectors, having interned for organizations such as The Clorox Company’s International Legal Team in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the San Francisco City Attorney's Office – Energy and Telecommunications Team. Recently, she has represented small to midsize businesses and nonprofits on corporate and real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
She is deeply committed to the community and advancing access to legal services through involvement and volunteer work with legal aid organizations like the Community Legal Assistance Saturday Program at the Alameda Library. She was formerly a director and an officer on the Oakland Parks and Recreation Foundation Board of Directors, and often participates in Oakland-based community events.
