Maria Cordova is a Senior Associate in Aleshire & Wynder’s Fresno office, where she has practiced since joining the firm in January 2026. Her practice focuses on civil litigation, with significant experience in personal injury defense, subrogation, and insurance-related matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Maria served as house counsel for a national insurance carrier, representing defendants in bodily injury and subrogation actions. In that role, she managed all phases of litigation, from initial investigation and discovery through resolution. She also pursued subrogation claims on behalf of the carrier for damages arising from product manufacturing and design defects, as well as automobile accidents. In addition, Maria was selected to assist in the investigation of suspected fraudulent claims, working as part of a specialized team evaluating complex coverage and liability issues.
Earlier in her career, Maria practiced with a private law firm representing plaintiffs in automobile and slip/trip-and-fall matters. Over her 16-year tenure with the firm, she developed substantial courtroom and case management experience while handling a high volume of personal injury cases. She also participated in a community outreach program providing free legal consultations in a wide range of practice areas, including employment law, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, harassment, medical malpractice, immigration, workers’ compensation, and unlawful detainer.
Maria’s combined experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants provides her with a balanced, strategic perspective in litigation, enabling her to assess risk, evaluate exposure, and develop practical solutions tailored to her clients’ objectives
