Kathleen Cuschieri

Associate

Kathleen Cuschieri is an Associate in Aleshire & Wynder’s San Diego office, where she advises cities and public agencies on a variety of matters, including CEQA compliance, land use issues, and environmental review. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective shaped by her scientific training, environmental consulting background, and litigation experience.

Before joining the firm, Kathleen gained substantial litigation experience through defending toxic tort matters. She managed cases through all phases of litigation, including deposing plaintiffs and fact witnesses, leading cross examinations, and collaborating with technical experts to develop evidence driven defense strategies.

Kathleen’s earlier career in environmental consulting focused on CEQA and NEPA compliance, land use, and regulatory analysis. She worked with public agencies, developers, and scientific specialists to prepare environmental compliance documentation, evaluate project impacts, and navigate complex state and federal regulatory frameworks.

Kathleen graduated Valedictorian of her class at Empire College School of Law. She also holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
